Ibrahim’s Story

When Ibrahim (name changed) joined the Community Wellbeing Pathfinder service, he was experiencing anxiety, social isolation and financial difficulties while waiting for a decision on his immigration status.

These challenges were affecting his mental health and wellbeing, and he needed support to access services and feel more connected to his community.

What Healthworks did:

Ibrahim received personalised support to help him address his immediate needs and improve his wellbeing.

He was connected with mental health services, received help accessing food support and was introduced to local community groups.

He also received support that helped him move forward with employment.

Community Wellbeing Pathfinder Outcomes:

Ibrahim became more connected to his community, accessed mental health support and secured a part-time teaching role.

His wellbeing score improved by 6 points, reflecting positive progress in his mental health and overall wellbeing.

“I found the programme very helpful and was very happy with the support you gave me. I appreciate the help you gave me with getting food and the support I am receiving for my mental health.”
