Healthworks Health Checks for individuals

At Healthworks, we provide workplace health checks designed to help employees gain valuable insights into their health and wellbeing.

As a charity committed to reducing health inequalities in the North East, all proceeds from this service are reinvested into our mission – not for profit.

We have also supported numerous organisations across the region, guiding them through all six levels of the Better Health at Work Award to create healthier, more productive workplaces.

What Healthworks Health Checks include:

  • Non-Fasting Cholesterol Reading
  • Blood Pressure and ECG
  • BMI
  • Smoking Status
  • Alcohol Consumption assessment (AUDIT-C)
  • Physical Activity Level assessment (GPPAQ)
  • QDiabetes® Diabetes Risk Calculation – calculates the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes over the next ten years
  • QRISK®3 Risk Calculation – calculates the risk of developing a heart attack or stroke over the next ten years

Additional benefits for individuals:

All clients will receive personalised health advice to improve their health and wellbeing, including an in-depth breakdown of what the results mean. They will also receive a Personal Health Report, access to our Free Healthy Lifestyle Resource Kit, and referrals to local community services such as smoking cessation and leisure activities.


Healthworks Health Checks Details:

£50 + VAT per appointment

Daily Capacity: Up to 10 appointments per day at a total cost of £500 + VAT per day

Appointment Times: Start around 9:30 am and finish between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm – however we are flexible!

Our trained advisors provide one-to-one support proven to triple the chances of successfully quitting smoking – helping your employees live healthier, smoke-free lives.

One to one support to quit smoking

Quitting smoking is undoubtedly one of the most significant steps you can take to boost your health. However, we understand that it can be a challenging journey.  For people who are ready to embark on the path to a smoke-free life, we’re here to lend a helping hand!

Research shows that two-thirds of smokers express a desire to quit, yet most attempt to do so without any assistance, which is often the least effective approach.

By seeking the right support, smokers increase their chances of successfully quitting by threefold.

This is why we proudly offer complimentary one-on-one support sessions, available to all adults residing, working, or studying in Newcastle.


Free Cancer Awareness Training

Staff training to raise awareness of common cancers, the importance of early detection, and screening services. Early intervention can save lives and reduce time lost to illness.

We offer a range of engaging. interactive sessions that are open to individuals, workplaces, and community groups based in Newcastle, Gateshead, and some other areas in the North East (please reach out to us to confirm if your location is covered).
