Children, Young People and Families
Healthworks believes that every child has the right to the best possible start in life and families should be supported to enable their children to reach their full potential.

Our services are offered in various locations in Newcastle. They are for children and young people and their families, who live in the City.
We enable children to access a variety of free play, learning and development opportunities, and everything on offer is aimed at giving your family the chance to have fun together and develop life skills. We work closely with Newcastle’s Midwifery and Health Visiting team to provide a number of services including Midwife Clinics, Well Baby Clinics and Developmental Clinics, as well as Workshops to support starting solids and toileting.
Best Start
We work closely with parents and families to provide free, confidential, and non-judgmental support during pregnancy and beyond.
Through our Best Start services, our trained staff and volunteers offer practical and emotional support from conception through to birth. We also provide clear, up-to-date information on feeding options, so you can make the choices that feel right for you and your baby.

Best Start Breastfeeding Support
We offer both group and one-to-one sessions to support your breastfeeding goals, help you bond with your baby, and provide guidance on returning to work.
