The Healthworks Impact Report 2025-2026 is now live!
The report brings together the people, programmes and partnerships behind our work, alongside the data that demonstrates the difference our services are making.
It highlights another successful year of improving health and wellbeing, reducing health inequalities and supporting communities across the North East.
During 2025-2026, Healthworks continued to deliver preventative and community-based health programmes designed to help people live longer, healthier and happier lives – while reaching communities experiencing some of the greatest health inequalities.
Making a measurable difference
This year’s Impact Report shows the scale and reach of our work, with 17,899 individuals supported and 78,218 attendances across Healthworks services and activities.
Our programmes have also contributed to an estimated £56 million in savings to the NHS and social care. This demonstrates the wider value of investing in prevention and community-based support.
Behind these figures are thousands of individual achievements.
From supporting families through pregnancy, breastfeeding and the early years, to helping people get active, improve their mental wellbeing, stop smoking, manage long-term conditions and maintain their independence.
Reaching the communities that need us most
Tackling health inequalities remains at the heart of Healthworks.
Our work is focused on providing accessible support within communities and addressing the wider factors that can affect people’s health and wellbeing.
This year, we have strengthened the way we measure and understand our impact. Using data to identify who we are reaching, where our services are making a difference and how we can continue to improve.
Looking ahead
Our focus remains firmly on the future – developing services, strengthening partnerships and finding new ways to improve health outcomes across the North East.
This Impact Report celebrates what has been achieved, but also demonstrates why prevention, early intervention and community-based health support continue to matter.
