Proud to be working with Trekstock on a new programme for young adults with cancer

We are proud to be working with Trekstock, an award-winning charity, to deliver their evidence-based cancer rehabilitation RENEW to young people living with cancer in Newcastle.

The RENEW programme is an 8-week programme of small group sessions delivered by a level-4 cancer-rehabilitation-qualified instructor – including physical activity support. Initially this will be piloted up until Christmas. The programme has been running both online and in person since 2014 and has successfully supported many young people to get active and stay active after a cancer diagnosis.

“It’s a great fit as like Trekstock, Healthworks is an award winning expert charity who are passionate about helping people to live healthier happier lives. Healthworks is a trusted voice in the local area who do amazing work in health promotion and by partnering with them we can offer together a holistic package of support and tools to empower people to live better with and beyond cancer. With cancer on the rise in young people we want to help every single young person in their 20s and 30s living with cancer in the ways that they need and by working together we can do just that”.

The programme is being officially launched on 13 September and you can find out more and book here.
