Making our Gym more accessible thanks to a Community Fund Grant
Healthworks are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to improve accessibility to our Gym at The Health Resource Centre.
This funding grant will enable us to adapt the accessibility of our gym at The Healthworks Resource Centre, providing easier access with the instillation of a disabled access door. We believe in fitness for all, which is why our gyms and fitness classes are friendly, welcoming and inclusive spaces.
Our focus is to reduce health inequalities in the North East and this funding will allow us to improve our spaces for the local community to help people live longer, happier and healthier lives.
It doesn’t matter whether you are new to exercise, or you are just looking to switch to a community-based, low-cost gym – you’ll always be welcomed by our friendly, qualified team. The other great thing about joining our gym, or coming to one of our fitness classes, is knowing that when you do, you are supporting a local charity and helping improve the health and wellbeing of other local people at the same time!
We have two gyms and offer a range of fitness classes at The Health Resource Centre in Benwell and The Lemington Centre.
