February is Payroll Giving Month

But you can support us in this way all year round too…

February is Payroll Giving Month. But what does this mean? Put simply Payroll Giving is a tax efficient way of donating to your chosen charity. The donation is taken straight from your pay (before tax) and goes towards funding your chosen cause. It’s also the easiest way of making a regular donation as once it’s set up, you can relax knowing your donation is helping to make a difference.

You can make a difference to the work we do here at Healthworks by opting in for Payroll Giving. Check with your employer that they offer Payroll Giving and if they do, they’ll arrange your monthly donation through your salary. You can sit back and relax knowing your monthly contribution is making a direct difference to people in local communities across the North East.

Getting your employer on board with Payroll Giving:

To donate regularly with Payroll Giving, your payroll department needs to work with a Payroll Giving agency to begin the process. If this is already set up, ask your payroll department on how you can get started. You should get a form to complete, with information on how much you wish to donate and giving your consent. You can visit Payroll Giving – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) for a full list of approved Payroll Giving Agencies.

In addition to Payroll Giving there are many other ways that you can get involved and help us make a difference, find out more here.
