December Foodbank Collection to Support Local Families

Throughout December, Healthworks is proud to be supporting Newcastle Foodbank by collecting essential items for individuals and families facing hardship this winter.

Donations can be dropped off until 22 December at our centres:

  • Health Resource Centre, Benwell, NE4 8BE

  • The Lemington Centre, NE15 8RZ

Foodbanks continue to experience high demand, and even small contributions can make a meaningful difference.

While all donations are welcome, Newcastle Foodbank has highlighted a particular need for the following in-date items:

Most-needed items include:

  • Fruit juices

  • Cereals

  • Pasta and curry sauces

  • Tinned tomatoes and vegetables

  • Tinned meat, fish and fruit

  • Soup, rice pudding and custard

  • Jam, biscuits and snack bars

  • Toiletries and sanitary products

  • Tea bags, instant coffee and nappies

  • Rice and pasta

These items help ensure families in our community can access nutritious meals and essential everyday supplies during the winter months.

At Healthworks, our mission is to support the health and wellbeing of local people – and that includes helping ensure no one goes without basic necessities.

By donating, you are directly supporting vulnerable households across Newcastle.

We would like to thank everyone who contributes to this year’s collection. Your generosity truly makes a difference.

If you have any questions about donating, please contact our team on 0191 272 4244 or pop into one of our centres.

Together, we can make this winter a little brighter for those who need it most.
