Welcome to Healthworks Children, Young People and Family Services

Our services are offered in various locations in Newcastle.  They are for children and young people and their families, who live in the City.

 

Healthworks supports children, young people, and families across Newcastle with a range of inclusive services from pregnancy and beyond.

We offer welcoming opportunities for children to enjoy free play, learning, and development, all designed to help your family have fun together while building important life skills.

Working closely with Newcastle’s Midwifery and Health Visiting teams and other partners, we provide a wide range of engaging activities and experiences for families to take part in together.

Best Start Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Support

 

Healthworks Best Start brings together our Pregnancy Support and Breastfeeding Support services to provide friendly, caring support for families in Newcastle.

Our trained staff and volunteers work alongside midwives and health visitors to give extra help when you need it.

Best Start Breastfeeding Support

 

We offer both group and one-to-one sessions to support your breastfeeding goals, help you bond with your baby, and provide guidance on returning to work.

 

 


Healthworks Children and Family Activities

 

Healthworks offers a range of children and family activities in Newcastle, supporting learning, development, and fun from an early age.

For babies, we provide sessions such as Sensory Baby, Boogie Bairns, and Baby Massage.

 

 

Our weekly family activities run throughout the year and include Cook, Play and Learn and Messy Play sessions.

We also offer monthly Saturday sessions and school holiday activities for children and families. Visit our What’s On page to find local activities and sessions near you.

 

 


 

Healthworks Useful Vision

Useful Vision works with visually impaired children and their families to give them the support they need to flourish.

The service provides accessible, positive opportunities and activities to visually impaired children and their families throughout the North East region.

Enabling children to learn new skills and make new friends, reducing social isolation through increased confidence and self-esteem.

Healthworks Pre-school

If you have a two, three, or four-year-old, you may be eligible for a fully funded place at our preschool!
