Role Description

This volunteer opportunity offers you the chance to contribute to the upkeep of a vibrant and inviting green space while gaining valuable experience in garden maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Garden Maintenance Tasks: Perform basic gardening tasks such as weeding, pruning shrubs and bushes, grass cutting, planting, painting ad jet washing. Maintain plant beds to enhance the garden’s beauty and diversity and general upkeep.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Operate garden maintenance equipment safely and responsibly, following health and safety guidelines.
- Organisation and Communication: Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff members to complete tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to Task Completion: Demonstrate commitment to finishing tasks that have been started, ensuring that the garden is always well-maintained.
Requirements:
- Previous Gardening Experience: Experience tending to domestic gardens and operating garden maintenance equipment is preferred.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding of health and safety principles and the ability to work safely in a garden environment.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and coordinate efforts with other volunteers.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for working effectively as part of a team and following instructions.
- Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to volunteering and willingness to dedicate time to garden maintenance tasks.
- DBS Check: Willingness to undergo a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
