Healthworks is a dynamic, national award winning and innovative charity committed to improving the well-being and health of disadvantaged local communities. Based in Newcastle, but working across the region, for over 27 years, our patron is Professor Michael Marmot.

Our work is expanding and as a result we are looking to recruit a new leader, manager and practitioners to lead, plan and deliver our programmes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Manager to lead a Health Improvement team in designing, implementing, and overseeing health improvement programs that make a tangible difference in people’s lives. If you are passionate about transforming the healthcare landscape and driving positive change, we want you to be part of our team.

As a passionate and effective Senior Manager, you will support and provide overall leadership for our Health Improvement lifestyle service which includes our Waiting Well programme, NHS Health Checks and change behaviour programmes. You will manage a strong and skilled team to provide a service dedicated to making a difference and enable people to make lifestyle changes and in doing so, improve their health and wellbeing.

Our Commitment

We know how important our team is to the amazing work that we do in our local communities. So in return we offer;

  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Free membership to both our gyms
  • Free annual flu vaccination
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Health and wellbeing initiatives
  • The opportunity to work for a friendly and positive organisation that genuinely makes a difference to people’s lives.

We value the diversity of our staff and welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
